A warranty is a guarantee made by a seller to a consumer for a product that is being sold. When a warranty is for a vehicle, it is a contract that covers the cost of replacement and repair of certain car parts for a specific period of time.
New car warranties provide various benefits. When a consumer buys a car from a manufacturer, they are given a guarantee that if there are defects or mechanical failures with the car, the cost to repair or replace those parts will be covered. There are two kinds of new car warranties. There is a bumper-to-bumper warranty, which provides coverage for the parts of the car from the front bumper to the back bumper. There is also a power train warranty that provides coverage for the parts of the car that make it run.
New car warranties offer motorists a sense of relief when getting bills from the mechanic.
